Because of his shining merit and exceptional justice, by which he took measures for Faria Lucensia with all usefulness and honesty, by agreement of the most obedient council ( ordo ) and the whole people ( populus ) of this same city, when his time in office was completed, [the city] arranged, in the year when our Lords were consuls for the third and second time, that a bronze statue to [its] patron was set up; it was decreed on the Ides of March in the year after Amantus and Albanus were consuls.
