On the Kalends of August [= 1st August], Caraegius and Abuanus and Caelio, the magistrates, and the senate of Maggavia [= a civitas/city in the area of modern Palencia] having bestowed honorary citizenship on Amparamus Nemaiecanus, from Cusaburense [‘Cusaburensim’ for Cusaburensium], and on his freedmen and descendants [the formula omits, presumably in error, his children/liberos], made all the vows for him, which are [necessary and usual] for a citizen of Maggavia, at the borders of the area of Maggavia. // In the year when Sextus Pompeius and Sextus Appuleius were consuls [= AD 14], Amparamus Nemaiecanus from Cusaburense made a treaty of hospitality with the community (civitas) of Maggavia, for himself, his children, his freedmen, and his descendants; all [the citizens] of Maggavia adopted him and his children, his freedmen and his descendants into the hospitality, trust and clientele of themselves and their relatives; and he should be under the same conditions as a citizen.
