. . . . . . -os son of Thyion of - and crown him with a gold crown of 1,000 drachmas; and he and his descendants (5) shall be proxenoi and benefactors of the Athenian People and shall have right of ownership (egktēsin) of land and a house, according to the law, so that [everyone] (10) else may show love of honour (philotimōntai) concerning the Athenian People, knowing that they will receive thanks worthy of their benefactions; and the prytany secretary (grammatea kata prutaneian) (15) shall inscribe this decree on a stone stele and stand it on the acropolis; and for inscribing the stele the treasurer (20) of the People shall give . . . . . .
