Property / Translation EN: . . . The People decided. Hegesippos [son of Hegesias of Sounion proposed]: so that none of the allies [of the Athenians?], or anyone [of the Athenians?], whether foreigner or citizen, shall harm (5) any of the allies, setting out from anywhere [in Attica ] or the allied cities, the People shall resolve: concerning those who have invaded the territory of the Eretrians , that the Council shall formulate and bring forward a proposal to the People at the next Assembly, (10) so that they may be punished according to the [laws?]; and if in future anyone invades Eretria or any other allied city, anyone of the Athenians or of the allies of the Athenians, he shall be condemned to [loss of citizen rights (atimian) or death (thanaton) ] and his property (chrēmata) shall be public, and (15) a tithe for the goddess; and his property (chrēmata) shall be recoverable from all the allied cities; and if any city appropriates it, it is to owe it to the [common treasury (koinōi) or common Council (synedriōi) ] of the allies; and to inscribe this decree on a stone stele and set it up on the acropolis . . .
