The Populonii. To Lucius Aradius Valerius Proculus, vir clarissimus, augur, greater pontifex, quindecimvir with responsibilities for sacred rites, Flavian priest, praetor tutelaris, legatus propraetor of the province of Numidia, administrator of the census in the province of Galicia, governor of the province of Byzacena, consularis of the province of Europe and Thrace, consularis of the province of Sicily, comes of the second rank, comes of the first rank, proconsul over the province of Africa vice sacra iudicans, and also with appellate jurisdiction in the provinces of Africa Proconsularis, Numidia, Byzacium and Tripolitania, and Mauretania Sitifensis and Caesariensis, having completed the office of praetorian prefect, comes again of the first rank in the palace, praefectus urbi, vice sacra iudicans again, consul ordinarius. To this man, a worthy patron, the corpus of pig-dealers and butchers, with legally appointed representatives of the corpus acting as patrons, decided that a statue should be erected, out of affection to him, by due right

To Lucius Aradius Valerius Proculus, of clarissimus rank, augur, greater priest ( pontifex maior</>), member of the college of 15 men for sacred affairs, priest of the gens Flavia , tutelary praetor, legate for the praetor of the province of Numidia, tax reviewer of the province of Gallaecia, governor ( praeses ) of the province of Byzacena, governor ( consularis ) of the province of Europa et Thracia, governor ( consularis ) of the province of Sicily, count of the second order, count of the first order, governor ( proconsul ) of the province of Africa and judge representing the emperor, while at the same time judge in the imperial court of appeal for the provinces of Africa Proconsularis, Numidia, Byzacena, and Tripolitania and likewise Mauretania Sitifensis and Mauretania Caesariensis, having performed the office of praetorian prefect, count of the first order inside the palace for the second time, prefect of the City, judge representing the Emperor for a second time, and consul ( consul ordinarius ).
