Property / Translation EN: . . . The People decided. Lykourgos son of Lykophron of Boutadai proposed: concerning what the Council has proposed that the People shall resolve: (5) since Sopatros son of Philistion of Akragas displays the good will which he has towards the Athenians, acting to ensure that the (10) greatest abundance of grain is brought to Athens,+1+ to praise him for his good will towards the Athenian People; and he shall be proxenos and benefactor, (15) himself and his descendants, of the Athenian People; and he shall have right of ownership (egktēsin); and the prytany secretary (grammatea kata prutaneian) shall inscribe this decree on a stone stele (20) and stand it on the acropolis; and for inscribing the stele the treasurer of the People shall give 30 drachmas from the People’s (25) fund for expenditure on decrees; and to invite Sopatros to hospitality in the city hall (prutaneion) tomorrow; and the director of works (architektona) shall assign him a seat (30) at the Dionysia. / reference
