La divina e peculiare clemenza dei nostri signori Costantino Massimo, vincitore, sempre Augusto e Crispo e Costantino nobilissimi Cesari, ordinarono di restaurare a loro spese tramite il rifacimento del cocciopesto il passaggio danneggiato del ponte. Se ne occupò il chiarissimo Quinto Ceionio Cecina Vero, curatore dell'alveo del Tevere e delle cloache della sacra Città, devoto al loro nume e alla loro maestà.
