Property / Translation EN: Lower part of large A.+1+ Proxeny for Phokinos, Nikandros and Dexi-.+2+ Relief In the archonship of Theophrastos (340/39), in the ninth prytany, of Hippothontis, for which Aspetos son of Demostratos of Kytheros (5) was secretary. On the eleventh of the prytany. Of the presiding committee (proedrĹn) Androkles of Hagnous was putting to the vote. The People decided. [Demosthene]s son of Demosthenes of Paiania proposed: . . . People . . . . . . allies . . . (10) . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . (15) . . . . . . . . . . . . they shall be proxenoi of the Athenian People, themselves and their descendants; and (20) the Council and the generals shall take care of them so that they come to no harm; and the secretary of the Council shall inscribe this proxeny on a stone stele and stand it on the acropolis; and for inscribing the stele the treasurer of the People shall give twenty drachmas from the Peopleâs fund for (25) expenditure on decrees; and to invite them to hospitality in the city hall (prutaneion) tomorrow. col. 1 crown col. 2 crown col. 3 [crown] / reference | |||
