Our lords Constantius, victorious and triumphant, eternal Augustus, and Flavius Constantius, the most noble Caesar, ordered [this] statue to be set up, cast in bronze and decorated with gold, to Philippus the praetorian prefect, of clarissimus rank, because of the merits of [his] virtues and the labours he undertook during his prefecture.
