With vows and a wholly devout mind, Vesenus Frontinianus, curator of the city ( res publica ) of this fatherland, set up the Genius of the Council ( Genius Curiae ), dedicated in the form of a statue and placed in the Augustan council chamber ( curia augusta ), as a perpetual light of his administration. Set up on the 13th day before the Kalends of October, after the consulship of our lord Gratian Augustus for the third time and of Equitius. (transl. U. Gehn)
