    To Tiberius Claudius Aurelius Aristobulus, of clarissimus rank, governor ( proconsul ) of the province of Africa, a man of all virtues, of blameless integrity, of vigorous mildness, of sublime moderation, and of laudible justice. The people of Lepcis Magna (Lepcimagnenses) [set this up] by decree of the city council ( ordo ), to their perpetual patron.
