Statue to Autonius Iustinianus, the reluctant governor ( praeses ) of the province of Samnium; the whole multitude of the city had gathered so that he might accept it because of their common desire; the people of the city of Venafra set it up because of the merits by which, together with the most splendid ordo, he restored the status which was already fallen/destroyed, a contribution to the beauty of the time/ century.
