    To Vettius Agorius Praetextatus, of clarissimus and most illustrious rank, governor ( corrector ) of Tuscia et Umbria, governor ( consularis ) of Lusitania, governor ( proconsul ) of Achaia, prefect of the City, praetorian prefect of Illyricum, Italy and Africa, designated counsul, legate of the most splendid council seven times and always opposed to procuring hardships, a parent revered publicly and privately; so that even now (this) statue that was honouring his own house, (…) took care that this distinction ( insignia ) be set up and arranged.
