The Council and the People decided. Kritios (5)proposed: concerning what the ambassadors (presbeis) of the Corcyraeans and the Akarnanians and the Kephallenians say in the Council, to praise the ambassadors (presbeis) of the Corcyraeans and the Akarnanians and the Kephallenians because they are good men with regard to the People of Athens and the allies (10)both now and in time past. So that what they need shall be done, introduce them to the People, and submit the opinion of the Council that it seems good to the Council, that the secretary of the Council shall inscribe the names of the cities which have come on the common stele of (15)the allies; and the Council and the generals and the cavalry shall deliver the oaths to the cities which have come; and the allies shall swear the oath in the same way. After this has been done, for the future whatever the common body (koinōi) (of the allies) decides shall be valid (kurion). Choose (three or five) men to (20)receive the oaths from the cities, [and they shall also be inscribed on the common stele on which?] the allies have been written.
