To Saturninus Secundus, of clarissimus rank, governor ( praeses ) of the province of Aquitanica, master of memory, count of the first order, governor ( proconsul ) of Africa, count of the first order among the imperial cabinet and at the same time quaestor, praetorian prefect twice. On account of his outstanding services to the Commonwealth ( res publica ), our lords Valentinian and Valens, victorious and triumphant, forever Augusti, ordered a statue in gold to be set up and placed [here].
