[...] onestissimo [...] nel giudicare [...] ponderato [...] che rese la repubblica più grande con preziose disposizioni (?) di ogni sorta, restauratore degli edifici pubblici; poiché Leptis Magna, eccellente nella sua nobile lealtà e nella sua devozione, ha fatto esperienza in vari modi dei suoi innumerevoli uffici, nei propri confronti e in quelli dei suoi, resi con affetto superiore a quello di un cittadino originario, (e) sempre memore dei suoi meriti, attraverso gli uomini del suo ordine e del popolo, decretò una statua al suo patrono Flavius Victor Calpurnius, uomo perfettissimo, governatore della provincia di Tripolitania e, per lo speciale affetto del vicendevole amore, la eresse e la dedicò presso di sé.
