Translation EN

. . . . . . . . . . . . he shall be proxenos and benefactor (5) of the Athenian People, both himself and his descendants . . . . . . if he has any need . . . he shall have right of access to the Council and the People after the religious business; and (10) should he need anything from the People, both the Council in office at any time and the prytany and the generals shall take care of him; and the prytany secretary (grammatea kata prytaneian) (15) shall inscribe the proxeny for him on a stone stele and stand it on the acropolis, so that others may also know that the People knows how to give thanks to its benefactors . . .
