. . . the Athenian merchants (emporoi) and the People in Samos and the others who happen to be present, Athenians and (5) others, declare that -das of Cos takes care of both the merchants (emporōn) and the shippers (nauklērōn), so that the greatest abundance of grain sails in for the Athenian People, (10) and that no Athenian [suffers?] any [harm?], but . . . is brought [safely?] to port,+1+ and in other respects displays his good will towards any Athenian who happens to be present, the Council (15) shall resolve: that the presiding committee (proedrous) allotted to preside at the next Assembly shall put the matter on the agenda . . . . . .
