    [Statue of] Mannachius, of clarissimus rank. On account of the unique services towards our city, to a man outstanding in diligence and eloquence, and most superior in the affection of all, artificer from the greatest part and even many things of our city, adding both to utility and embellishment, Umbonius Mannachius, of clarissimus rank; the council ( ordo ) of the city of Aeclanum decreed the setting up of [this] statue to a most worthy patron.
