    (...) of distinguished and at the same time particularly great merits which have shone forth through the expansion of public buildings [undertaken] by an admirable generosity. To Lucius Iunius Iunillus, of perfectissimus rank, count of the imperial guard ( comes divini lateris ), governor ( praeses ) of the province of Mauretania Caesariensis, citizen and patron, son of Iunius Publianus, man of most learned memory. The council ( ordo ) of his distinguished city of the Urenses and the people set up this marble statue.
