    Face A (front) . . . . . . the chairman (epistatēn) of the [Council?] in the [tenth?] prytany, whoever is deemed to have given the best advice to the Council and the (5) Athenian People, and the Council resolved to crown him with a gold crown of 500 drachmas for his manly virtue (andragathias) and excellence towards the Council and the People, and having voted on the matter, the Council decided that Kephisophon had given the best advice (10) to the Council and the People and had taken care of everything, well and justly, that the laws command and the People required the Council to do, the Council shall resolve: to praise [Kephisophon son of Kallibios] of Paiania+1+ for his manly virtue (andragathias) and excellence towards (15) the Council and the People . . . . . .
