To Pullidius Argolicus, of perfectissimus rank, the younger, patron of the guild of the Leontiani [by descent] from his father, grandfather, great-grandfather and ancestors. The whole guild [of the Leontiani] placed this statue as a permanent gift of their love, that it might keep alive for him [their] ancient duty towards his family, even in his absence ... (transl. U.
