To Marcus Caeciulius Novatilianus, curator , illustrious poet and orator, of clarissimus rank, adlected among the consulares , governor ( praeses ) of the province of Moesia, quaestor of Africa, overseer of the legal courts ( praefectus iure dicundo ) of Hither Spain and Calabria, the most splendid council of Beneventum, protected privately and publicly by his patronage, by a decree of the councillors, publicly [set this up].
