To Flavius Fortunus, most devoted man, palatinus</I>, most worthy patron, on account of his distinguished services; the council ( ordo ) of Cingulum decreed the setting up [of this statue], on the sixth day before the Ides of October, during the consulship of Mamertinus and Nevitta.
