For the merits of all virtues, which provided ... through the administration of the whole province and his governance .... of goodness and laudible prudence, ..., of singular eloquence and outstanding exaltation, the council ( ordo ) of the city of Malaca, with the agreement of the whole province, set up this marble equestrian statue of Quintus Attius Granius Caelestinus, of clarissimus rank, governor ( consularis ), to a most blameless and most pious patron.
