The council ( ordo ) and people ( plebs ) of Sabratha [set up] this statue for their most worthy patron...of military...from earliest years...man of justice and honesty, Laenatius Romulus, of perfectissimus rank, with Pompeius Leontius, of perfectissimus rank, curator reipublicae , overseeing the work.
