Under the governorship of Quintus Sentius Fabricius Iulianus, of clarissimus rank, in his second year of being governor ( proconsul ) with the power of representing the emperor, Marcus Aurelius Restitutus, former lawyer ( togatus ), curator of the city ( rei publicae ), with the city’s most distinguished council ( ordo ), set up the statues and decoration in the pool.
