Florus, slave of Publius Vedius Germanus, son of Publius, from the tribus Fabia, aged 26, is lying here. His master set this up on account of his merits. Without having seen wedding or bridal song or bridal bed I’m lying at the tombstone at the road. Fare-thee well, Florus, and fare-thee well you also, whoever you may be, wanderer!
