Solo questo Lucio Scipione moltissimi Romani sono d'accordo nel dire che fu il migliore dei buoni. Figlio del Barbato, egli fu presso di voi console, censore, edile; prese la Corsica e la città di Aleria e dedicò per ringraziamento un tempio alle divinità delle Tempeste.
