To Lucius Arrenius Menander, son of Lucius, of the Papiria voting unit (tribus), aediles, two times quattuorvir quniquennalis (member of the college of four men, high office in the municipal administration), giver of gladiatorial exhibitions (munerarius) of the city of Herdonia, who has held all offices and fulfilled all duties of our city (res publica), patron; the college of carpenters decided that a statue be set up to him who deserves it well, in response to his outstanding affection. The place was given by decree of the decurions.
