Of Flavianius, most splendid [of senatorial status]. To Nicomachus Flavianus, at that time deputy for the praetorian prefects throughout the African provinces, with the glory of the Roman name flourishing and the good fortune vigorous of our lords and emperors, Valens, Gratian and Valentinian, perpetual and always Augusti, and everywhere victorious; the faithful and innocent city council of Lepcis Magna, together with the people, set this up with all votes in favour to an outstanding patron.

[Statue des] Flavianus, eines Mannes senatorischen (clarissimus) Ranges. Für Nicomachus Flavianus, damals Stellvertreter der Prätorianerpräfekten in den afrikanischen Provinzen. Als der Ruhm des römischen Namens in der ersten Mannesblüte stand, und in voller Lebenskraft das Glück unserer Herren und Kaiser Valens, Valentinian (II.) und Gratian, der ewigen und immerwährenden und überall siegreichen Augusti, stellte der treue und reine Stadtrat von Lepcis Magna zusammen mit dem Volk dem hervorragendsten Patron mit Zustimmung aller [dieses Denkmal] auf.
