Lucius Aemilius Daphnus, sevir (member of a board of six with the purpose to honour the divine spirit (numen) of the living emperor), gave the baths, all on his own expense, to the citizens of Murgi, and on the day he dedicated them he gave money (denarii) to each citizen, and he gave a banquet to the inhabitants; as long as he would live, he promised, he would give money to each of them on the same day (each year), and for the maintenance of the same baths, as long as he would live, he promised 150 denarii yearly.
